Meet At: Cloisters
Cost: Splitting fuel and camping fees
If short weekend camping trips to the top place to snorkel with giant cuttlefish are just your thing, we’ve got the essential trip for you this mid year break.
Each year, during June and July, the giant cuttlefish come to Whyalla to breed, putting on colourful mating displays to attract mates. This can be witnessed by snorkelling straight off the beach (no boats or scuba diving necessary).
The plan is to leave Adelaide Saturday afternoon, camp at Point Lowly that night, swim Sunday morning for those who are keen, and drive back Sunday afternoon. However, other arrangements can be made depending on transport availability. Cost will be around $50 (sharing fuel and camping) + byo food.

Hope to see you there 🙂
