Meet At: Cloisters, The University of Adelaide
Cost: $15 + split fuel costs for carpool
We will be running a hiking trip to the Grampians (VIC) from Friday May 10th to Sunday May 12th. To participate you will require an intermediate level of fitness and will need to be self-sufficient in supplies and equipment.
What to bring:
- Hiking boots/Runners
- Sleeping bag, tent and mat
- 6 L of water
- Warm comfortable clothes
- Weather protection i.e. windbreaker/rain jacket, sunscreen etc.
- Food: 2x dinner, 2x breakfast, 2x lunch + snacks
We will be carpooling and splitting fuel costs between participants. If you are able to assist with transportation please let us know asap so that we can finalise numbers.
Leave Adelaide at 5pm and drive to Arapiles: 4.5 hours
Camp at the Pines camping area
Drive to Halls Gap: 1.5 hours
We will begin the hike from Halls Gap, passing Venus baths and the pinnacle on our way to Stony Creek camping area.
Duration: 5 hours
We will hike from Stony Creek Camping area via Mt Rosea to Borough Huts campground.
Duration: 6 hours
Drive back to Adelaide: 6 hours
