Yet another trip to Araps to build our trad climbing skills on the best lump of crags in Australia!

This trip is for anyone who is a confident climber and has had some practice belaying and particularly belaying lead climbers in both sport and trad climbing. There will be opportunities to do multi-pitch climbs of over 100 metres but also plenty of single pitch and top rope climbs of all grades for anyone who just wants to come along to experience the high quality rock that Araps has to offer.

Members with lead climbing ability are highly encouraged to join and share their skills.

We will camp at The Pines campground only a short walk from the main crags. Please bring all your own camping gear (Tent, sleeping-bag, mat) as well as food and drinks. The campsite has water and toilets. Unfortunately the fire ban season has just kicked in so we cant have campfires.

Pleas bring any climbing gear you may own and the rest will be provided by the club.

We will organise carpooling from the uni its about four and a half hours drive. Fuel costs will be shared equally. If you’d like to join for just some of the time and drive yourself there, please let me know.
