Organiser: Ashley
Meet At: Gate 8 Adelaide University
Cost: Bus $200

What is an absolute gem, the largest of its kind, and can’t be put on your finger? Ayers rock of course! AUMC is offering you the opportunity to fall in love with the great country all over again. Join us on an outback experience to visit Uluru and surrounding areas including a stop at Coober Peedy along the way. We will be leaving at 5 pm on wed the 10th and returning on the 14th.

We have privately hired a bus which will cost $200.00 per person. Please note that it’s a 25 seater bus (same one we usually hire) and not the 33 seater coach. This means that places are strictly limited to 25 people and we anticipate the event will book quickly. Your seat on the bus is only reserved once we have received payment conformation, so please pay at the same time you submit your booking (and send us the payment receipt if you can). For this trip we will be accepting eft.

Account Name: Adelaide University Mountain Club

Description: bus {your name}

Amount: $200.00

You will need to bring money to pay for other expenses of the trip such as food and drinks, park entry fee, campsite fees. It is likely there will be an option to join in for communal expenses such as individual camping fees and food for the drive. We are working on a budget for that and will keep you posted.

  1. Not a professional tour! We would like to emphasize that this trip is organized by students (none of which have been to Uluru before), and is not a tour.  If your are after a professionally guide tour and bus service there are heaps of companies which go to Uluru. Our main goal is to have loads of fun and experience one of the best parts of Australia. 🙂
  2. Team work!  The trip leaders have been tasked with leading the group and making sure everything runs smoothly and safely, so they will at times delegate tasks to the group. As a trip run for students by student, it’s really important that everyone contributes to the work. Many hands make light work.
  3. Experience! This trip is aimed at people who have experience on overnight camping trips. If you’ve never been on a multi-day camping trip with the AUMC then we recommend you attend one of our beginner trips first.

Participantes need to be self-sufficient in terms of food and equipment. The club does have a limited supply of equipment which can be hired for free. We will open the gear room closer to the date and we will post on Facebook the time and date.

What to pack: Pack for a multi-day camping and hiking trip. Ask one of the assistant trip leaders if you have any questions on what to pack.

Other equipment: please bring a personal first-aid kit equiped with two compression bandages, one combine dressing and a space blanket.

This event is fully booked.
