Mylor Conservation Park
Organiser: Taya Stocks
Meet At: Cloisters
On December 11th we will be running a hike and working bee in the Mylor Conservation Park. The Friends of Mylor Conservation Park Group are looking for more regular young volunteers to help keep the park in good condition- the working bee will be a great way to help out, get work experience in land and resource management and meet other members of the club before other holiday break trips the Mountain Club will be running. Working bees happen once every one/two months, and will be a good way to regularly see other members, with camping and other activities a possibility in future.
We will be meeting at the cloisters at 10:30 and car pooling up from there, please wear long sleeves and pants. Sunscreen and a hat are also recommended. There will be a variety of work available to do within the park, including weed removal and Pygmy possum box set ups.
Following the working bee there will be a FREE barbeque lunch, provided by the friends group.
All work equipment will be provided by the Conservation Group, but if you have any of your own gloves it’d be great if you could bring some.
Bookings are closed for this event.
