Spring is coming to Adelaide and it’s the perfect time to get outdoors with friends! The AUMC is bringing you an exciting spring camp in the scenic Adelaide Hills with some really fun outdoor activities. The venue, Woodhouse, is used by the Scouts and the Fire Services for training, and it has also won many tourism awards.
Activities include Challenge Hill (an awesome obstacle course with lots of obstacles), FrisNet Golf (throwing frisbees into small nets in a golf-course-like setup), orienteering (navigation challenge on foot with maps), volleyball, and bushwalking at Woodhouse and nearby Mt. Lofty. There is a fire pit and we will have campfires on Friday and Saturday nights. There will be a gas BBQ on Saturday evening.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings are fully flexible. You can attend the camp for all three days, two days, or one day. Please indicate clearly which days you wish to attend on the form when you register. There is a bus service (Route 865) that operates between the Adelaide CBD and Crafers, 5 minutes’ drive away from the venue. Please see this link for a timetable and map of the route. I can then take people from the bus stop in Crafers to the Woodhouse venue.
Once you register for the event, you will receive more information by email, including what to bring, etc. The AUMC can lend you a tent, sleeping bag, and/or sleeping mat for this event at no extra cost if you do not have your own.
You will need to be a current AUMC member to attend this event. It will be possible to become a member or renew your membership during the camp ($15 for Adelaide Uni students).
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call/txt me 0422159279 if you have any questions or concerns.
This event is fully booked.
