This riding event will follow the course of the River Torrens from the University to the sea, taking in pleasant views of the river and reserves. We will then follow roads to Glenelg, one of Adelaide’s popular seaside suburbs. Bring your own lunch to eat on the beach, or if you prefer there are a lot of cafes on Jetty Road. If the weather is unseasonably nice, you could even go for a swim! Afterwards, we will ride back to Uni via the tram cycleway.
This ride is ideal for beginner/intermediate cyclists, or those a bit uncertain of their fitness. The total distance is around 35 km, and the terrain mostly flat. The pace will be adjusted to account for whoever turns up.
You need to bring: bike, a chain to lock it up, water (two litres better than one if it’s hot), helmet, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and either money or some lunch.
