Port Noarlunga SLSC
Organiser: Lyndon Zimmermann
Meet At: AUMC Kayak Shed
Cost: Fuel contribution
Last year I ran a trip to snorkel with the cuttlefish, near Whyalla. I want to do that trip again, but run some training first. I am an accredited AUF Snorkel Coach and will follow the AUF Ocean Snorkel Diver format.
Port Noarlunga was great Easter time, hope it is still as good, so planning to run the training there again. We’d meet at the AUMC Kayak Shed at about 8:30 to be at Pt Noarlunga by 9:30. The shed has wetsuits and I should have half a dozen snorkel and fin sets by then.
I’ll start with a theory session, then an ocean skills session, followed by three separate 30 minute snorkel activities. We may relocate to Aldinga Reef for one of the activities, providing i can get some direction where to go.
If you want better gear (eg thicker wetsuits, boots and SCUBA fins) you can try the Adelaide Uni SCUBA club. You will have to get to their clubrooms (next to the AUMC Kayak Shed) on a Thursday evening. Alternatively the Dive Shack at Keswick is a good option.
This event is fully booked.
