Over the ANZAC day long weekend, AUMC is running a 3 day walking trip in the Flinders Ranges, along the northern most section of the Heysen Trail. This walk is suitable for beginners as long as you are fit enough to carry a backpack over easy terrain. We’ll be away from the cars for the 3 days, so you’ll be carrying camping gear and food in your packs.
We’ll be leaving Adelaide on the evening of Thursday, 21st April at 6pm and returning in the evening on Monday the 25th. Transport will be by private vehicle – please indicate when registering if you are able to bring a car. Fuel costs will be reimbursed.
Much of the club gear has been lent out but we still have plenty of backpacks. Please let me know ASAP if you need other equipment e.g. sleeping bags and tents so that I can try to reserve them for you.
Further information, including a suggested gear list, will be posted in the next few days to people who register for the trip.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me at email@example.com
Bookings are closed for this event.
