This is the current price list for the hire of Mountain Club equipment.

*NOTE: The club also has a range of kayaking, canoeing and rock climbing gear which is available for use on official club trips. Talk to the gear officer or a committee member for more info.

Equipment is kept in the AUMC Gear Room, in the Basement of the Hartley Building. The gear room is open only by appointment. Please contact the gear officer by email at least 1 week ahead to check availability and arrange pick up.

We can only accept cash for gear hire. Please calculate how much money you’ll need in advance and bring it along. We are able to give change.

Some items are limited in number, so your are advised to book as early as possible, especially around university holidays.

To get your deposit back, you must return the equipment on time and demonstrate that it is in good working order. Under no circumstances leave equipment in the Sports Association – you will not get your deposit back if you do.

Please note that the club’s gear is for use by AUMC members only. If you are hiring multiple sleeping bags, for instance, we request that all people using them become members.
